FRP floor grates are built with a strong mesh to allow for efficient on-site cutting while minimizing grating waste.
Molded FRP grating is easy to install, and lightweight compared to other materials. It is significantly lighter in weight than metallic gratings, like steel grating, and lasts longer in most applications.
Fiberglass molded grating has a concave profile on the upper surface for skid resistance. Grit tops can be ordered upon request.
Key Advantages to Fiberglass Grating over Metal Grating:
- Non-Corrosive
- Lightweight
- Easy to Install
- Anti-Slip Flooring / Skid Resistance
- Durable & Long-Lasting
Materials of Construction
Molded fiberglass grating is made with fiberglass rovings combined with one of many different thermosetting resin systems. All of the different resins available contain a protective UV inhibitor. The resins include:
- VE – a premium grade vinyl ester, for high chemical resistance.
- NVE – a premium grade vinyl ester, for high chemical resistance and NSF-61 approved for hot and cold potable water.
- XVE – a premium grade vinyl ester, with extra fire resistance (a flame spread rating of 10 or less).
- PP – an all-purpose isophthalic polyester for industrial applications.
- NPP – an all-purpose isophthalic polyester for industrial applications and NSF-61 approved for hot and cold potable water.
- GP – a general purpose orthophthalic polyester for architectural or other applications with less corrosion issues.
- FF – an economical isophthalic polyester for food processing or similar applications.

Panel Installation
FRP Grating Panels can be installed with any of the following three clips:

Elevated Floor System
Fixed and adjustable legs for molded fiberglass grating are available to provide sturdy support for elevated flooring. Contact us with your exact requirements.

Sealing Kits
To maintain corrosion resistance and structural integrity, standard resin sealing kits are available to protect the exposed ends of cut panels and other components.
Solid Surface
FRP Gratings are available with an integral cover bonded to the top surface with a slip resistant grit surface.

Curb Angle
Pultruded Fiberglass Curb Angle provides a strong, firm base for bearing bars. Standard Curb Angle is produced using a gray, fire retardant vinyl ester resin system and is available in three sizes.
