System Design and Components
The modular construction system features six interlocking components.Main building panels are 3" thick x 24" wide and open-ribbed. 3-way and 45° connectors allow the system components to turn corners and facilitate the joining of walls or sides. Toggles lock panels and connectors together securely. The system also includes a hanger and an end cap for flexibility. Joints and connectors are bonded during assembly for permanent structures. This uniquely designed system of interlocking components makes it possible to design fiberglass structures for a broad range of construction applications with an almost unlimited number of configurations.

Materials of Construction
COMPOSOLITE® is available in standard polyester (green), polyester fire retardant (gray) or vinyl ester fire retardant (beige) resin systems. The standard fire retardant resins meet the requirements of Class 1 rating of 25 or less per ASTM E-84 and the self-extinguishing requirements of ASTM D-635. The resin contains a UV inhibitor and the composite includes a surface veil on all exposed surfaces for enhanced corrosion and UV protection. Other resins and colors are available upon request. |

DURASHIELD® Foam Core Building Panels are fiberglass pultruded panels with a tongue-and-groove fitting system and foam inside the hollow core.
Features of DURASHIELD®
- Low Electrical & Thermal Conductivity
- Integral Insulation
- Flame Retardant
- Lightweight
- Corrosion Resistant
- Strong
- Transparent to Electromagnetic Emissions

Materials of Construction
The outer pultruded fiberglass structure has available skins of either an isophthalic polyester or vinyl ester resin, both of which are flame retardant (UL94 VO). Vinyl ester is used in more corrosive applications.
Both resins feature a synthetic surfacing veil ncorporated into the skin which improves weathering, corrosion resistance and resistance to degradation from ultraviolet rays. Applying a polyurethane paint improves weathering resistance for extreme applicaions.
The foam inside the FRP is a rigid closed-cell urethane foam. This foam core provides an insulation "R" factor of 7 for the 1" panel and 21 for the 3" panel.
Sizes
Foam core panel standard sizes are 1" x 12" and 3" x 24". Panels can be manufactured in longer lengths upon request, typically 12 to 32 feet.

FRP Foam Core Panel Applications
DURASHIELD® panels provide superior features to alternatives when used in walls, roofs and covers. Typical applications include:
- Radar, Microwave, Radio and TV Antenna Enclosures
- Roofs on Wet-End Pulp and Paper Manufacturing
- Enclosures for Electrical Equipment
- Buildings for EMI Testing (Computer Testing)
- Enclosures of Chemical Processing Operations
- Chemical Pit Covers
- Modular Buildings

DURASHIELD HC® Hollow Core Building Panels
These panels are similar to the foam core panels, except that they're hollow. They provide a cost-effective alternative to DURASHIELD®. FRP Hollow core panels are useful for flooring, enclosures, roofing or screening applications that do not require insulation. Panels are designed with the quick-assembly tongue-and-groove system for rapid installation.
The panels feature a hollow core with intermediate ribs to provide rigidity for uses like decking, cladding or tank covers. Once panels are installed they can be bonded together with standard adhesives and attached to structural shapes with bolts or screw fasteners. These standard polyester panels will not rot, rust or mildew, which makes them ideal for high moisture environments including saltwater.

Materials of Construction
The surface of the hollow core fiberglass panels features a synthetic veil incorporated into the surface to improve weathering, corrosion and UV resistance. Polyester is the standard resin system, with options to upgrade to a vinyl ester resin for highly corrosive applications. Both resin systems include flame retardants and meet the requirements of a Class 1 flame spread per ASTM E84 and the self-extinguishing requirements of ASTM D-635. The panel weighs 3.27lbs/linear ft.
Sizes
Hollow Core Fiberglass Panels are available in standard 1" x 12" panels, and can be manufactured at longer lengths upon request.
